HALF MAN || HALF BULL was created for a moment in time when we couldn’t come together in a theatre. We couldn’t come to where you were and share a story. So we made a double narrative album, reimagining the stories of Daedalus & Icarus, and Theseus & the Minotaur, 20 songs, telling 2 stories to be listened to in the comfort of your own home, or wherever you chose.
Following the success of Wright&Grainger’s series of shows retelling ancient greek myths, (Orpheus, Eurydice, The Gods The Gods The Gods) the pair teamed up with long time collaborator and friend Oliver Tilney, who brought to the table the idea of these stories of fatherhood, and isolation.
We partnered with 20 theatres around the world to release the album and so, in March 2021 the first 2000 albums were delivered to the theatres and to the audiences they chose for it. The album is still for sale right here, complete with artwork by Lydia Den, as well as being available on Spotify or wherever you listen online.
